Sarıbalta (former Komer) is a village in Çemişgezek district of Tunceli Province, Turkey. At it is situated at the north of Keban Dam resorvoir. Distance to Çemişgezek is 8 kilometres (5.0 mi) and to Tunceli is 115 kilometres (71 mi). The population of Sarıbalta is 570[1] as of 2010 . The town was founded by people from Şakak tribe either from Diyarbakır or from Khorasan (a province in Iran). [2]Main economic activity of the village is sheep breeding.
